Cheap versus actually good
Lisbon is cheaper in euros. Reykjavík sits much further below what that trip usually costs. FareHalo rates the unusual gap when enough comparable fares exist — not the smallest number.

FareHalo scoring
When enough evidence exists, FareHalo compares a fare with recently observed similar trips. A €90 London flight can be expensive relative to normal. A €400 Tokyo flight can be Exceptional. Cheap isn't always a good deal. Route-relative ratings require sufficient evidence — Not yet rated is honest, and distance value can still be useful. Is this flight price good? · See this on the opportunity map.
Not yet rated means there is not enough comparable evidence — not an error. Distance value can still highlight a useful trip without becoming Good or Exceptional.

Opportunity alerts
Search finds opportunities across your windows right now. Alerts are separate: you save an origin, a destination airport, travel windows and trip length, then get notified if that route becomes Exceptional, Good or better, drops below a price, or falls by a percentage. FareHalo does not claim to know the cheapest future day.
Free beta includes 1 active fare alert.

Live fare checks
Map browsing does not use your monthly allowance. Indicative discovery can already show a route-relative rating when there is enough comparable data, or distance value when there is not. You spend a live fare check when you click Check current fares. The path is Indicative discovery → Current fare checked → Comparison updated if available. Google insights override a FareHalo comparison; without them the existing rating stays. Free beta includes 8 live fare checks per month. Open Explore when you are ready to search.
